self-portrait~day 342
This isn't the best time of the year to be beach side but the sun was so enticing without a wind, and there was not a flake of snow as they are falling in Paris and parts north of here so off we went to the sea. Tripod in place, husband and dog down the beach and one little Dove ; )...voilà a 'self-portrait'....

loud~day 341
This diptych didn't work well, for that matter, nothing is working as it should with anything I do in PSE10 (not its fault) I do hope that this opens in a decent size for you with some clairty. This is one of our villages Goose Families. The first fellow is in full call mode and extremely 'loud' as he is alerting the others further down the river that a food source was approaching and that they had best get on the move before the Pigeons and Ducks get the best of the goodies. We couldn't hear ourselves think as their cacophonous greeting was so 'loud'....

skin-day 340
I was taken by the 'skin' of this lovely pear, the only one that was still attached to the branch of its tree for it was remarkably like that of some older human skin I've seen, oh not the colour but the texture, the brown aging spots and like our skin, contrary to youthful opinion, quite beautiful.

machine~day 339
This 'machine' a conveyer belt 'convoyeur, tapis roulant' transports the remains once all of the precious nectar has been removed from the grape. We tried to find someone to ask just how many kilograms this pile represents, alas, the sun had begun to set probably why no one was to be found. We have absolutely no idea and aren't even willing to guess, how about you?

turbulent~day 337
these turbulent waters come from open sluices in the dams along the river Durance, Vaucluse....usually we can see the rock step that crosses the rivers width that today was covered. There are warning signs of danger, stating that we can be easily pulled into the rushing waters that give no warning of coming, let loose by the EDF electricity company when in need, however today as in other days we saw people with their children even, casually strolling out on the dry river bed....

modern~day 335
~this 'modern' glass stairwell along with the rock facade are in a home that is surrounded by buildings dating back hundreds of years, plus is under the watchful eye of the medieval ruins of the villages aging castle and church, both dating back to the 12 century...

warmth~day 334
Our temperatures have dropped, yesterday's wind slipped at 120 kph down the Rhône Valley and out onto the Mediterranean Sea, this little fellow sought 'warmth' in my husband's hands, as he climbed onto his palm without hesitation, sat there, quiet and unpreturbed until we had to put him back outside, deep inside the lavender bushes and away from cat paws.
